External Review – Feedback
Each year, the school is involved with an independent review of its current progress. This Challenge Partners Review is carried out by an external team of 5 led by an Ofsted trained lead reviewer.
We find the process really helpful in checking that we are still getting better. The review team provides the governors with a report and two quotes are worth sharing: “Norton College continues to drive forward with no sense of complacency. While leaders are rightly proud of the journey they have made, and the well-established good education they have secured, there is a united ambition to become outstanding and recognised as a centre of teaching and learning excellence.”
They added: “The College has continued to improve since its last Ofsted inspection and the culture, ethos and focus on lifting aspirations in the College are extremely strong.”
Year 6 into Year 7
We are delighted to find out that so many parents have made Norton their first choice secondary school. Our transition programme now swings into action and we will welcome Year 6s into the school in a few weeks’ time to begin a thorough transition process. Such interest and confidence in the school is great news for staff who work tirelessly for all students.
