A Memorable American Easter Experience
A trip of a lifetime was experienced by 27 sixth form students who spent the first week of the Easter Holidays (2015) on a Humanities visit to America.
Students spent 3 nights in New York and 2 nights in Washington DC. In New York, students saw the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, The One World Trade Center, Wall Street and visited iconic buildings such as the Empire State Building and the Rockefeller Center. History and Politics student Ella Risi commented that, “It was an amazing experience and the trip of a lifetime.” Visit leader Pete Jackson said, “It was a privilege to be able to see the sites of these two great cities alongside the fantastic students of Norton College.” One student remarked: “It’s so different to Norton, we need to see more of these places,” whilst other students professed plans to study in America after the trip. It certainly was an experience of a lifetime.
