Safeguarding & Support

At Norton College, we are fully committed to ensuring that consistent and effective safeguarding procedures are in place to support students and their families.

On this page you will find an introduction to the safeguarding team and information on the support that you and your family can access.  Alternatively, you can make a referral to Children & Family services on 01609 780 780. If you are concerned that a child or young person is at imminent risk of harm, please seek medical advice or in an emergency, dial 999.

Student wellbeing and supporting families is integral in all that we do, therefore it is important that our students are aware of ways to source the support and guidance they need and that they and their families are signposted to a range of services that they may require. The ‘Student Support’ and ‘Family Support’ documents below, inform how to gain support from school staff, and peer support from our student leadership wellbeing team.  There are also links to a range of organisations offering practical support, advice and information on different topics.

If the support you require is omitted from the documentation, please contact the safeguarding team who will be happy to help.
